The Challenge
America’s grasslands and sagebrush steppes are among the most threatened ecosystems in the world. Nearly 70 percent of America’s prairies have vanished and nearly 1.3 million acres of sage brush burn each year due to wildfires fueled by invasive grasses.
The North American Grasslands Conservation Act would preserve these vanishing and fragmented ecosystems through voluntary, nature-based solutions. Driving the NAGCA is the North American Grasslands Coalition. The Coalition is composed of 10 leading conservation organizations dedicated to driving the legislation forward.
The Project
Big game hunters are a key stakeholder coalition that must be educated and activated to support passage of the NAGCA through congress. While upland bird hunters have seen the impact of habit loss on bird population, the issue is not yet at the forefront for whitetail, elk, mule deer and pronghorn hunters.
The coalition desires to produce a short form hero video that quickly educates hunters on importance of the NAGCA and activates them via a call-to-action to contact their federal elected officials.
